Product Overview

The MC-500L (three-phase) fully automatic capacitance and inductance tester was specifically developed to address the challenges encountered when measuring the capacitance of individual capacitors in shunt capacitor banks at substation sites. It focuses on resolving the following issues:

(1) On-site measurement of individual capacitors requires disconnecting the connecting leads, which is not only labor-intensive but also increases the risk of damaging the capacitors.

(2) Low output voltage from the capacitance meter results in a low fault detection rate.

(3) Measure the inductance of the reactor.

This instrument features low measurement workload, quick and simple operation, stable performance, high measurement accuracy, and a high fault detection rate. In addition, its current measurement unit can also be used for measuring electrical equipment such as CVTs and surge arresters, thereby achieving multi-functionality in a single device.

Product Features

This eliminates the tedious procedures of repeatedly disconnecting and reconnecting wires, enabling the measurement of single-phase capacitance in grouped shunt capacitors as well as three-phase capacitors with various connection configurations, while also allowing the measurement of inductance in a wide range of reactors.

1. Without disconnecting the leads, rapidly measure the reactance values of three-phase capacitors and reactors simultaneously; regardless of Y, Y0, or Δ connection configurations, the system automatically converts these measurements into per-phase capacitance and total capacitance.

2. Without disconnecting the wiring, rapidly measure the capacitance and discharge resistance of individual capacitors in a shunt capacitor bank.
