The MCG-600DG merging unit tester is a test instrument specifically developed for the testing of merging units. In view of the current variations in the construction and design of smart substation projects, this device can perform comprehensive and effective tests on merging units that accept inputs from electronic current transformers, electromagnetic current transformers, or a combination of both, thereby meeting the testing requirements of merging units in a wide range of practical engineering applications.

Product Features

1. Testing of merging units applicable to various input types, including conventional instrument transformer inputs, electronic instrument transformer inputs, and hybrid inputs.

2. Integrates a high-precision analog signal source (Class 0.05) and an analog data acquisition unit (Class 0.02), enabling combined verification without the need for an external reference source.

3. A comprehensive suite of specialized test modules can be performed on the merging unit, including accuracy, harmonics, transient error, synchronization, communication protocol compliance, rated delay, parallel-operation delay, parallel/decoupling logic, and network load assessment.

4. Capable of simultaneously testing six voltage channels and six current channels, with automatic evaluation of the test results and issuance of a pass/fail conclusion.

Complete parsing of SCL files (SCD, CID, ICD, NP) to enable automatic configuration of SV and GS information; built-in industrial PC supporting standalone operation or external PC connectivity, with consistent operation software; fiber-optic communication interface providing data forwarding, mirroring, loopback, and other functions.

It features a built-in auxiliary DC output that can be switched between 110 V and 220 V, enabling power supply to the merging unit; its hardware protection measures are reliable and comprehensive, providing self-protection and alarm functions for overcurrent, overheating, and short-circuit conditions.
