The MCYM-3 multifunctional electric energy meter field calibrator is a compact, lightweight, and easy-to-use metrological calibration instrument that offers multiple functions in one device: on-site verification of electric energy meters, power usage inspection, electrical parameter testing, vector analysis, harmonic measurement, CT ratio testing, and portable oscilloscope functionality. Based on these tests, it can determine whether a customer is engaging in electricity theft, whether metering accuracy meets national standards, whether the customer is causing harmonic pollution to the grid, and whether the power factor is within acceptable limits—thereby helping to prevent losses in the power system. The instrument is equipped with a 500 A high-precision clamp-on current transformer, enabling direct measurement and diagnosis of whether low-voltage electric energy metering devices are operating normally. It also integrates power usage monitoring and phase/voltage-amplitude meter functions, making it suitable as a standard and inspection tool for departments such as power inspection, power supply stations, metering, dispatch, and relay protection.
