The MCMD-C SF6 Gas Density Relay Calibration Instrument is an intelligent, fully automated device for calibrating SF6 gas density relays. It employs single-cycle instruction microcomputer technology, achieving a processing speed 20 times faster than that of conventional single-chip microcontrollers. This instrument enables on-site calibration of both pointer-type contact-output and smart current-output SF6 density relays, utilizing an interrupt-driven approach to capture relay operation in real time, thereby ensuring more accurate and timely measurements.

This instrument is a portable calibration device that can perform standard pressure conversion for SF6 gas under any ambient temperature conditions, and it can also be used to calibrate SF6 density meters and pressure gauges.

In a closed container, the pressure of SF6 gas at a given temperature is representative of its density. By convention, the SF6 gas pressure at 20°C is taken as the reference value. During field verification, pressure readings taken at different ambient temperatures must be converted to their equivalent values at 20°C in order to assess the performance of the SF6 density relay.

1. The relay tester employs a mixed-signal, single-cycle, high-speed microcontroller as its core, offering abundant resources, powerful functionality, and robust data-processing capabilities. By integrating A/D conversion, D/A conversion, a reference voltage source, and analog amplification within the microcontroller itself, the peripheral circuitry is simplified, resulting in excellent stability and high accuracy.

The initial state of contacts in density relay sets 1 to 3 can be either normally open or normally closed, and the instrument can simultaneously measure both the actuation and reset values for all three sets of contacts. Therefore, this instrument is capable of fully automatic calibration for all new and legacy models of density relays.

4. The instrument features an 8.4-inch extra-large color LCD display, capacitive touch operation, and a Chinese-character user interface, making it simple and convenient to use.

5. During measurement, the instrument simultaneously displays the current pressure, the pressure at 20°C, and the ambient temperature, thereby resolving the challenges associated with on-site calibration of SF6 density relays.
