Product Overview

DC resistance testing of transformer windings is an essential test performed during equipment handover, major overhauls, and after adjustments to tap changers. Under normal circumstances, measuring the DC resistance of transformer windings and high-power inductive equipment using conventional methods—such as the bridge method and the voltage-drop method—is a time-consuming and labor-intensive task. To address this issue, reduce measurement time, and alleviate the workload of testing personnel, our company has developed a rapid DC resistance tester. This instrument incorporates cutting-edge power-supply technology and features fast measurement, compact size, ease of use, and high measurement accuracy, making it the ideal solution for determining the DC resistance of transformer windings and high-power inductive equipment.

This product complies with the requirements of National Standard GB 6587-86, “General Specifications for Environmental Testing of Electronic Measuring Instruments,” and GB 6593-86, “Quality Inspection Rules for Electronic Instruments.”

Product Features

This tester employs the conventional four-wire measurement method to enhance the accuracy of resistance measurements, particularly for low resistances. The core of the measurement circuit comprises a programmable constant-current source, a programmable preamplifier, and an A/D converter. The central control unit regulates the constant-current source to apply a stable, high-precision current to the external device under test, and then processes the acquired data—including the test voltage and the instantaneous test current—to calculate the actual resistance value.

This instrument can store 255 sets of test data and print all stored data. Data stored in the instrument is not lost upon reset or power failure.
